Rituraj storms Rajasthan into Ranji Trophy 2011-12 FinalRajasthan have reached to the Final of Ranji Trophy for two consecutively years. The defending champion defeats Haryana in the Semi-final by 64 runs within three days of the game. Rituraj Singh shows a great bowling performance by picking 12 wickets in the match, which includes 7/45 in the Haryana's first innings score after Rajasthan were bowled out for just 89 runs in their first innings. And also Rajasthan opener Vineet Saxena's 58 in the second innings led the team to a good score and putting enough target for the opposition on a bowling friendly wicket. His innings was also the only 50 plus score of the match.
The match was played at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak. In this low scoring match skipper of Haryana Team, Amit Mishra won the toss and decided to field first on a bowling friendly wicket. Harshal Patel damaged the Rajasthan batting by taking 8 wickets in their first inning. Rajsthan bounced back by limiting Haryana to 8/82 ater the first days play. On Second day they couldn't added much to their score and went all out on 97 runs taking a lead of just 8 runs. Rituraj was the pick of the bowlers from Rajasthan. In their second inning, Rajasthan batsman played much better. Opener Vineet Saxena make a good contribution to the team. He alongwith Robin Bist made 42 vital runs for the third wicket. Robin Bist was also involved in another good partenership with Rashmi Parinda for the ourth wicket. Both added 46 runs to the total of their team.
With a defendable target of 185, Rajsthan bowlers tormented the Haryana's batsman in their second innings. Once again Rituraj was the bowler. He took 5 wickets for just 37 runs. Pankaj Singh and Sumit Mathur supported him well. By taking the wicket of Mohit Sharma, Rituraj ended the Haryana's inning and make Rajasthan way to the Final, where they will play against Tamil Nadu. For his wonderful bowling Rituraj got the Man of the Match Award. This was his second in the season in just three matches. This is also his debut season.
