First season of newly launched Bangladesh Premier League take place from 9th February 2012 to 29th February 2012. There are six teams in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Each team play two matches with every other team. This type of group stages matches are called "Double Round Robin" tournament format.
On 29 th December 2011, official logo of Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) launched. Channel 9 of Bangladesh broadcast this whole logo launching ceremony.
