IPL means Indian Premier League is the biggest sporting event in the cricket and world also. Inspiring from Indian Premier League, Bangladesh Cricket Board started new T20 tournament in the Bangladesh named 2012 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
First season of newly launched Bangladesh Premier League take place from 9th February 2012 to 29th February 2012. There are six teams in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Each team play two matches with every other team. This type of group stages matches are called "Double Round Robin" tournament format.
On 29 th December 2011, official logo of Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) launched. Channel 9 of Bangladesh broadcast this whole logo launching ceremony.
The Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) will have 33 matches played across two venue including Mirpur Stadium, Dhaka and Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong which features six franchisee teams.

The opening ceremony of first season of Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) will be ob 9 th February 2012 one day before the inaugural match of BPL 2012.

First venue of Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) is Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Dhaka. In this stadium 25 matches out of 33 matches will play. Stadium capacity is 26,000 people.
Venue Second:
Second venue of Bangladesh Premier Language (BPL 2012) is Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium at Chittagong. In this stadium 8 matches out of 33 matches will play. Stadium capacity is 20,000 people.
